Bob de Groot is sinds 1998 verbonden aan het adviesbureau Ebbinge & Company te Amsterdam. In de afgelopen periode is Ebbinge uitgegroeid tot een van de bekendste en meest gerenommeerde HR-adviesbureaus van Nederland. Binnen Ebbinge is De Groot werkzaam als consultant, en sinds 2004 tevens als partner, met als specifiek aandachtsgebied het HR-segment. Hij is verantwoordelijk voor de verdere opbouw en ontwikkeling van de 'HR-community' en het uitvoeren van werving, selectie en search opdrachten binnen het HR-vakgebied.
