'Denken over politiek in het Spaanse fin de siècle, 1890-1914' (1999), 'De ontdekking van El Greco' (2006) en 'The Culture of Regionalism' (2010). Samen met enkele collega's publiceerde hij onlangs 'Het land van Don Quichot. De Spanjaarden en hun geschiedenis' (2011).
