Blockchain of Things

In recent years, Internet of Things (IoT) has reshaped the whole tech-industry into a smart industry with a capability of intelligent decision- making. However, security, privacy, and interoperability of the connected devices are still the challenges faced by the IoT industry. Blockchain capabilities can help in addressing these challenges. The convergence of Blockchain and IoT named as Blockchain of Things (BCoT) is a major technical breakthrough that provides basic services with additional functionalities, benefits, and implementations in terms of secure, seamless, and autonomous computing environment. The amalgamation of Blockchain and IoT provides benefits in terms of improved and efficient qualities such as interoperability, reliability, scalability, privacy, and security of IoT. The main objective of this book is to provide academicians, researchers, and practitioners a common platform for understanding current state-of-the-art development in techniques/ technologies from Blockchain and its integration with IoT. All the aspects such as theoretical and practical contributions, simulated works, review, and case studies will be available to the reader which will provide them with a comprehensive guideline to extend the state-of-the-art by developing novel methods for providingsolutions for the Blockchain of things. This book:Covers comprehensive and deep understanding of usage of Blockchain for powering up IoT systems. Discusses the latest advancements in architecture, key technologies, security, privacy, service models, and frameworks for Blockchain of things. Covers Blockchain consensus algorithms specialized for IoT architectures. Illustrates key case studies based on inherent integration of Blockchain and IoT in various application domains.
