A mysterious girl in lavender footie pyjamas will do anything to keep her house from being sold, in this gory and chilling haunted house novella from the multiple award-winning, bestselling author of The Buffalo Hunter Hunter. Mr Morning Gun just wanted to be a history teacher. But after The Incident, when he became an internet sensation for smashing up the marching band’s instruments – all because of an argument over access to the teacher’s EV charging port, he’s left penniless and homeless. All he can do is fall back to his teenage job – flushing toilets in empty houses to stop the wax seals breaking. Slipping out of phase with society, he moves from empty house to empty house, night after night, just looking for somewhere to charge his car. Until the Messner House. Because the Messner House doesn’t want to be sold. And the brutal spirit of a little girl in lavender pyjamas will do anything to make sure of it, no matter who gets in the way.
