Noorderlijk licht: Natuurfotografie/ Northern Light - Nature Photography

In Noordelijk licht: natuurfotografie staat de
fotografische visie op de natuur en de relatie
van mens tot de natuur centraal. Onderwerpen
die daarbij aan bod komen zijn de cycli in de
natuur, menselijke ingrepen in de natuur,
inclusief het verstoren van het ecologisch
evenwicht, en hoe la condition humaine wordt
weerspiegeld in relatie tot de natuur. In dit boek
is daarbij een grote rol weggelegd voor zo’n
zestig werken van Finse fotografen van The
Helsinki School, uit de collectie van Pieter en
Marieke Sanders, die aan Museum de Fundatie
zijn geschonken.

The central themes of Northern Light:
Nature Photography are the photographer’s
vision of nature and how humas relate to
nature. Topics include the cycles in nature,
human interventions in nature, including the
disturbance of ecological balance, and how
the human condition is reflected in relation to
nature. A major role in this book is played by
circa sixty works of Finnish photographers
from The Helsinki School, from the collection of
Pieter and Marieke Sanders, gifted to Museum
de Fundatie.
