Topics covered include: conformal and quasi-conformal mappings, fixed points and conjugations, basic rational iteration, classification of periodic components, critical points and expanding maps, some applications of conformal mappings, the local geometry of the Fatou set, and quadratic polynomials and the Mandelbrot set.
