Carlos, in conjunction with some 'old Indian' friends', describes life under British rule, the geography and key religions of India and important historical moments both before and after the British conquest. This book is useful as a record of the colonial mindset near the turn of the twentieth century, and will be of value to anyone interested in the history of the British Empire and historical British attitudes to rule.
