Samenvatting
A stunning picture book celebrating life in the Amazon rainforest, from Caldecott Honor winner Juana Martinez-Neal.
Zonia’s home is in the rainforest in Peru. Her days are filled with play and adventure. Every morning she visits the sloth family, greets the giant anteater and runs with the speedy jaguar. But when the rainforest calls to her in distress, how will Zonia answer? From an award-winning author-illustrator comes a heartfelt celebration of the wonders of the rainforest told through the eyes of Zonia, a girl from the Indigenous Asháninka nation. With extra information about the rainforest and the Asháninka community, this is a joyful, beautiful and informative introduction to a natural wonder.
