Samenvatting
A history of the womens movement in Wales from the nineteenth century to the present.
This book examines the history of the womens movement in Wales from the earliest days to the present. Offering a vivid history of the campaign for equality and social justice and the activists who drove it forward, Daryl Leeworthy pays close attention to the political nuances of the movement and the distinctions of class, gender, sexuality, and race that permeate it. From the campaign for the Peoples Charter in the early nineteenth century through the turbulent experiences of the suffrage campaign and the struggle for equal rights today, Causes in Common reveals this crucial history for a new generation.
