Samenvatting
Can Styrkar, the fearsome warrior known as the Red Wolf, finally achieve his revenge against the hated Conqueror? The exciting new historical adventure in the Wolf of Kings series.
England, 1069. King William has finally stamped his authority on this conquered kingdom. His lands are held in the iron grasp of Frankish lords, their castles dominating the skyline. But a rebellious few still lurk on the fringes, and they will not fade quietly into the wilderness.
In the east, an outlaw rebel has risen, gathering support from the common folk, and building an island fortress that stands as a bastion of hope against Frankish oppression. Edgar the Aetheling remains defiant in his quest for the throne, and alongside renowned Danish warrior Styrkar, the Red Wolf, sails to Denmark to forge an uneasy alliance.
As winter shrouds the land in a cloak of frost, Styrkar, and the rebels at his side, will discover just how brutal the Conqueror can be. For King William is determined to stamp out all resistance, marshalling acts of utter cruelty that will leave a blight on England for decades. Deeds that even the Red Wolf might not survive...
