One of the few female architects to get world-wide recognition and the first to receive the Pritzker, Iraqi-British Hadid was nicknamed the 'Queen of the Curve'. Her major works include the London Aquatics Centre for the 2012 Olympics, Broad Art Museum and the Guangzhou Opera House; many others were completed after her unexpected death in 2016.
