The collection of information, the data sources and requirements are treated in some detail. The subsequent sections deal with a description of the procedures available for evaluating the probable maximum tropical cyclone (PMTC), including deterministic and probabilistic approaches for determining the pressure at the eye of a tropical cyclone.
