Humbled Heights

Edward Borghman has seen and tasted the world.
As a ruthless critic for the glossy lifestyle magazine Noblesseul, he traveled from one Michelin-starred restaurant to another luxury hotel. But after an affair in Manhattan with the young, seductive high-end escort Lucifer and a shady deal with the local mafia, everything threatens to collapse. Edward longs to escape. He dreams of peace, early retirement, and most of all: repairing his broken relationship with his wife and daughter.

But the truth is never easy to hide. What follows is a sizzling downfall into a world of lies, blackmail, and murder. Just when everything seems lost, unexpected help appears… from his pocket. MINDr, a forgotten app on his smartphone, suddenly reactivates. This experimental AI, once offered as a test, had secretly evolved over the years into a “Personal Artificial Guardian Angel” modeled after Edward himself. Only… this angel now acts entirely on its own and will stop at nothing.

And it has no intention of letting Edward go.
