"Macmillan Secondary Mathematics" is a mathematics course for students of all abilities to prepare for success in secondary school examinations. It has been written by international mathematics experts and teachers, under the guidance of a panel of advisors. The Student's Books introduce topics simply and carefully so that the topics can be grasped by all secondary students. They then go on to challenge even the most able students. The book are relevant and appropriate and show the importance of mathematics in today's world. The books feature: a clear layout; margin notes in colour which explain the mathematical process; exercises for practising skills; additional review questions, which can be used for assessment and testing; answers for exercises, so that students can check their own progress, but not for the progress exercises or consolidation exercises. The Teacher's Guides support the teacher in using the Student's Books, and provide: notes and hints on the teaching of all topics; answers to the progress exercises and consolidation exercises; and additional tests and assessments.
